About

I am an artist, writer, and educator with a holistic approach to teaching writing, story/creative development, professional development, film, animation, and sound. Through a non-hierarchical classroom, I create an environment for students to learn not only from me, but from each other in equal parts. This flexibility in the classroom allows for unanticipated and important territory to be explored with every class. I employ individual meetings as time allows for mutual understanding to be reached to earn trust. I expect my students to come to each class and assignment giving their best, while also allowing for grace when needed. I encourage my students to explore their own identity and inner-life to help inform the work they do. I am dedicated to representing diversity through readings, viewings, and guest lecturers.

My own artistic practice includes experimental animation, fiber, and drawing to explore multispecies connectivity, my Italian-American heritage, healing modalities, and liminality.

Based in NYC.
